The Forge
The Forge

The Forge is a final year unit of study for students studying a Bachelor of Interactive Media or a Bachelor of Digital Design.

You’ll fulfil a live industry brief under real-world pressure, collaborating as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary environment. You’ll learn to become an effective team player and to work with speed and efficiency, producing work that connects and interacts with audiences. By simulating the realities of the workplace, you’ll be job-ready when you graduate - and well positioned to reach the top of your game, faster.

The Forge concludes with a panel presentation with industry representatives, showcasing the final project that allows you to create a more polished piece of work to include in your portfolio. Where possible, you will be mentored, critiqued and assessed by an industry panel.

The Forge is led by an experienced industry practitioner in the role of Supervising Producer who guides, advises and supports students throughout the semester with their final group projects.

Sometimes, being creative just isn’t enough. To score a dream job and get ahead in a career, you also need to be business-savvy. This is where AIT’s Launchpad programme comes in.

A final year subject across the Bachelor of Interactive Media and Bachelor of Digital Design, Launchpad will give you the skills to land a great job and advance your career in an industry where self-promotion can be everything. Launchpad covers every aspect of building an extraordinary career – from portfolio development, brand identity and interview techniques to workplace skills, building your resume and creating the all-important showreel.
