AITendance team declares a global war against paper-based attendance marking systems.

Bachelor of IT students Daniel, Luiz and Chiaki, along with their teacher Kriss Mahatumaratana, flew to Melbourne to take part in the National iAwards after winning the state award for their AITendance project submission.

Upon winning best project in the Undergraduate and Tertiary Student category, Luiz said it was an incredible boost to their confidence moving forward in their careers and their own businesses.

The AIIA Gala Night was inspiring, teeming with industry professionals and investors of innovative ideas and IT solutions. The night before the gala the team was working on finishing up their website and posters. Now they need to prepare for the event that will be held in Chinese Taipei next December where they will be representing Australia in the Asia Pacific version of the iAwards.

The AITendence team has big goals for the future, primarily starting the AITendance company and finishing off the final business plan. Second, ā€œWorld domination in the war on paper-based attendance marking systems,ā€ says Daniel.

Luiz and Daniel credit their accomplishments thus far to their passion for IT. ā€œTreat every assignment like a product you would take to market and donā€™t let your dreams be dreams,ā€ says Daniel, quoting Shia LaBeouf. Luiz adds, ā€œA problem that you have might be a problem for many others so think of ways to solve it and you will have a product to develop!ā€

Imagine a creative college where you can pursue your dreams in 2D animation, 3D animation, film, game design, IT or mobile app development.
